The reports that repairs to the car cost �910,000, which translates to about $1.4 million in U.S. dollars. That sets the record for the most expensive car repair claim on record. That’s a big chunk of change for a car that only cost a million bucks in the first place. The repairs were approved, by his insurance company, when the value of the car shot up as high as $3.5 million.
It’s a drop in the bucket for Atkinson, worth a reported $112 million.
