Proper reporting of workers compensation claims can be critical. Failure to report promptly can result in fines both you you and the insurance company. You should have an “Employers First Report” kit in your policy packet. Submit the first report form to the company as soon as is practical following a claim incident. The State of Wisconsin requires that claims resulting in lost time be reported within 72 hours. Don’t wait for medical bills or other documentation.
