Happy Fourth! Here is your handy-dandy Secrets roundup of some of the weekend’s best festivities:

• Centreville gets things off to an early start on Thursday, July 2 with family-oriented fun outside Queen Anne’s County High School starting at 6pm and fireworks at 9:15pm.

• UPDATE: The fireworks in Easton, which were supposed to be on Saturday, July 4, have been cancelled because of wet grounds. All systems seem to be a go for the carnival running Thursday and Friday 6-11pm and Saturday 4-11pm. Events are behind the Target store, near the Easton bypass.

• A half-sized replica of the Vietnam War Memorial is in Dover Thursday through Saturday. Volunteers will be reading the names of all 58,266 names of the fallen.

• The fireworks in are slated for Friday, July 3.

• Another Friday fireworks show is at Sturgis Park in .

• There will be fireworks after the Delmarva Shorebirds game on Friday at Perdue Stadium in Salisbury.

• There will be several free Independence Day sails aboard the Skipjack Nathan of Dorchester. Sign up starts at noon.

• The fireworks in Cambridge on Saturday can be viewed from Great Marsh Park or Long Wharf Park.  There is also a fireworks dinner cruise that evening out of Suicide Bridge restaurant–. And the Mid Shore Community Band will be playing at 7pm on Saturday at Long Wharf Park–.

• In Ocean City, there will be two sets of concert-and-fireworks events, one  downtown at Division Street and one up on the other end of town at .

• There are a slew of Independence Day activities planned in Dover on Saturday, including a parade, live music, a flyover, a reading the Declaration of Independence, the ringing of the State House bells–all culminating in fireworks.

• There is a Children’s Parade and various patriotic family events slated for the daytime hours in St. Michaels on Saturday.

• Saturday evening brings Big Band Night at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, followed by fireworks.

• Wilmer Park is the place to go to watch fireworks in Chestertown on Saturday night.

• Independence Day in Lewes features old-fashioned children’s games in the morning and a decorated boat parade in the afternoon.

• There is a big Fourth of July Party in Milton’s Centennial Park on Saturday, with kids’ activities, a bike parade, live music, and more.

• In Laurel on Saturday, a carnival starts running at 10:30am and the festivities run straight through to fireworks after dusk.

• In Chincoteague there will be a patriotic concert by the Salisbury Community Band downtown at 7pm. The Fireman’s Carnival opens at 7pm. Fireworks are at 10pm.

• The Bethany Beach festivities on Saturday include a morning parade and evening fireworks.

• There will be fireworks at  on Saturday evening.

• The fireworks in Dewey Beach are bayside on Saturday.

• In downtown Cape Charles there will be festivities running on Saturday from 10 in the morning right on through to a fireworks show.

• The place to watch fireworks in Salisbury on Saturday night is at the county stadium across from the Salisbury Civic Center.

• The fireworks in Rehoboth Beach will be at dusk on Sunday, July 5. Live music at the bandstand, too. Alas, the fireworks cruise aboard the Cape May Lewes Ferry that evening is .
