• Centreville gets things off to an early start on Thursday, July 2 with family-oriented fun outside Queen Anne’s County High School starting at 6pm and fireworks at 9:15pm.
• UPDATE: The fireworks in Easton, which were supposed to be on Saturday, July 4, have been cancelled because of wet grounds. All systems seem to be a go for the carnival running Thursday and Friday 6-11pm and Saturday 4-11pm. Events are behind the Target store, near the Easton bypass.
• A half-sized replica of the Vietnam War Memorial is in Dover Thursday through Saturday. Volunteers will be reading the names of all 58,266 names of the fallen.
• The fireworks in are slated for Friday, July 3.
• Another Friday fireworks show is at Sturgis Park in .
• There will be fireworks after the Delmarva Shorebirds game on Friday at Perdue Stadium in Salisbury.
• There will be several free Independence Day sails aboard the Skipjack Nathan of Dorchester. Sign up starts at noon.

• There is a Children’s Parade and various patriotic family events slated for the daytime hours in St. Michaels on Saturday.
• Saturday evening brings Big Band Night at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, followed by fireworks.
• Wilmer Park is the place to go to watch fireworks in Chestertown on Saturday night.
• Independence Day in Lewes features old-fashioned children’s games in the morning and a decorated boat parade in the afternoon.
