097:365 Dinner
Day #097 of 365 Days Group Project 1/31/07
This thought came to me today out of the blue. Going for humor here so hang with me guys!!
At any given time, on any given day, I am thrown to the wolves. Might as well roast me for dinner!
That is ok – I can take it. I have a tough skin (at least that is what I want you to think) and I can handle you. I can take all of you!
Some days everybody wants something from me and when they don’t get what they want or if I make a mistake… *bam*….. here I am … on the dinner table again!
I just keep picturing the old-fashioned pig at Christmas time with the apple in his mouth…..
Are you feeling me?
On a not-so-lighter note this is the way my day started…. Took my car to get inspected and realized that I had the registration at home. DUH! (ok people I am not that stupid – I just switched the insurance over and took it out of the car and forgot to return it!)…
Couldn’t find my work badge. Just the lanyard thing it goes on… great.
Brought tuna fish to make a sandwich for lunch – but forgot the bread….
and so on…. so yeah – here I am… insert humor here!
Day255
Day 255/365
So this is going to be a controversial 365 post, I’ve held off on taking it for a few days knowing it would upset a few people, but decided I need to step up.
I know that I have been quite lucky in my life, I have parents are willing to support me, I have a college degree from a great school, I drive a new car, I get to go out and have fun with my friends, and I always have had food on the table.
But I can not sit back and be happy in a country thats so controlled by special interest groups and large corporations. Where insurance companies make billions and then nickel and dime you if you get hurt and they actually have to pay out. Where Schools have to cut the arts, gym and after school activities so that we can bail out banks, who only turn around and give their CEO bonuses, and add new charges and fee’s to their customers. Where politicians only care about staying in power and opposing the other side, rather then whats best for their constituents.
I’m incredibly proud of the members of my generation who are on the street right now, protesting for all of us, and I hope that people are listening.
