Greetings! Welcome To #THOTX (The Habanero of Texas) I am the Chief Habanero (CH) and our page strives to bring your current and relevant news in a very unique format. If you’re thin-skinned please proceed with caution.
THOTX is a Horatian Satire themed “news source.” Some people just don’t get it, but that’s okay. Some stories are, by definition, “parodies” and not actually satire. Satire, of course, would be entirely fiction, whereas a parody would be stories found in the news for which I have embellished with a heaping serving of sarcasm just so I can expose the absurdity of our society.
I have, from time to time, brought in guest authors who I felt maintained the same sense of humor befitting this page. Bringing in guest authors also helps keep things moving around here in between the normally scheduled stories.
If you, or someone you know, are interested in creative writing, and feel you have a piece worthy of having a solid platform for publication to the masses, then by all means send me a message and I will be happy to review it, and give it proper consideration.
This is perk we offer to up and coming writers, and it’s something the other satire Giants in the industry explicitly do not allow.
