The 2014 Kentucky State BBQ Festival will open at 5PM on Friday, September 5. This is the first time we will be serving barbecue on Friday night and it’s a great opportunity to beat the Saturday crowds and get some championship-quality food from our celebrity Pitmasters.
This year’s Pitmaster lineup will feature for the first time. Specializing in Baby Back Ribs, Mike is the winningest Pitmaster in BBQ and had the trophies to show for it.
With two barbecue restaurants in Southern Illinois and more in Las Vegas, Mike is considered “the Legend” in world of barbecue.
Returning celebrity Pitmasters include , , , , and local favorites .
There will also be music on Saturday and Sunday, and the now famous Saturday Night Blues Party. BBQ cooking demos by Tim Mikeska of . Cold Beer and Pepsi products will be available to quench your thirst. A whole section devoted to Children’s Activities. Fun for the whole family!
A will begin at 6:00 PM on Friday, September 5. There will be live Bluegrass Music, a cash bar and free eats provided by the Pitmasters. A live auction of the canvas art produced by local artists and sponsors will begin at 8:00 PM. Tickets are $25 each ($30 at the door if available).
The Kentucky State BBQ Festival is a family event and will be open on Friday, Sept. 5 from 5PM to 10PM, Saturday, September 6 from 11AM to 10PM and Sunday, September 7 from 11AM to 6PM. The Festival is located at Constitution Square Historic site at the intersection of Main Street and S. 2nd St. in Danville, KY. Admission and parking are free.
The Kentucky State BBQ Festival benefits the . Proceeds from the Art Auction Round-up go directly to HKUW. Other charities benefit from participating as vendors or volunteering fo duty at the Festival.
